IRHC Broomball Chair and Vice-Chair Openings

The Inter-Residence Hall Council is responsible for hiring the IRHC Broomball Chair and Vice-Chair each year. Applications are due by February 27th at 4:00pm in the Housing and Residential Life Office (153W Wadsworth Hall). Applicants will be notified via e-mail of interview times and location. Interviews will be Saturday February 28th and Saunday March 1st.

Description of the Chair Position

The job of the Broomball Chair is to oversee all aspects of the Committee. They are instrumental in being the voice of the Broomball Committee before IRHC, the University, and any other student groups. The decision making process of the Broomball Committee is led by the Chair, and sometimes affected by his/her voice. Any decisions that have to be made before a meeting can take place are the responsibility of the Chair to determine and execute. The Chair is to tie all of the aspects of Broomball together for the season and holds the final responsibility for the success of maintaining the Broomball tradition.


Description of the Vice-Chair Position

The job of the Vice Chair is to assist the Chair in all decisions and actions made by the Chair. In case the Chair is unable to fulfill their job expectations, the Vice Chair is responsible for fulfilling both roles until a replacement is chosen. Also, he/she is in charge of the judicial process for Broomball and is responsible with assisting the league heads, scheduler, and webmaster.
