Broomball is a winter tradition that is played by over 2000 members of the student body. The sport is a lot like hockey, except you don't need to learn how to skate or buy the expensive equipment that hockey requires. Just put on your shoes, grab a broom (don't forget to make sure it meets the guidelines in the rule book), maybe put on some knee pads and hit the ice!
Registration generally occurs near the end of October and the season begins as classes resume for the spring semester. Even if you aren't interested in playing, come out and watch the games and enjoy a cup of free hot chocolate from the Cocoa Shack.
